National Day of Prayer

It was an amazing weekend out on the campaign trail. I got off the bus Saturday and found myself in Sedgwick, Maine. The family said we'd been there before, but I don't remember it. I think last year they didn't let me out of the suitcase in Sedgwick. Oh, how times have changed!

Well, I have just realized that this is a very important week in our nation's history. I know... you're thinking, "What's up Max? Why so serious? You're supposed to be the fun candidate!" Well, you know how I love to have fun, but this is very serious business. The National Day of Prayer is coming up Thursday - THIS WEEK! All kidding aside, if ever our country needed prayer, it's now!

So I wanted to encourage you all to check out their website www.nationaldayofprayer.org and find an event in your area. If there's not one, it's not too late to plan an event, or at least to plan to pray right where you are on Thursday.

We can still PRAY in the USA - let's make sure we do just that!

Good night, and God bless America!

Time to strap on the sneakers and hit the trail...

Here in Ellsworth, Maine, the skies are a little gray today. So I thought I should try to extend a little springtime cheer.

My buddy Clyde is having kind of a lazy day - perfect for a canine, but entirely too mellow for a Mannequinn-American such as myself. I need a little more action!

I'm getting ready to tie up the laces on my cool red sneakers and take a little stroll to town and see the people. I hear they've got a deal on Milkbones down at Marden's! Great bonus for actually putting forth the effort to walk down the road...

So I'm off to the races, so to speak. I'll be stopping in for ice cream along the way. If I can get that "Dessert for Breakfast" push going, those lovely folks down at the ice cream shop will be able to extend their hours. That could be a nice boost to the economy!

I hope you're having a wonderful day, where ever you may be. Remember, even if there are clouds in your sky, the Son can still shine through!

So to all Americans - Mannequinn-Americans included - God bless you, and God bless America!

On the Road with Max

Having spent the weekend in New Hampshire, I'm off for Maine now. I'll be stopping in at Wal-Mart - picking up a few Milk Bones and rubbing elbows with real America! I especially want to talk to the cart wranglers and the folks in the toy department. I just have a feeling they really have a good perspective on what the American people really need from a president. If it's bigger mirrors they want, they shall have them! Personally, I'm leaning towards adding dessert to the breakfast menu.

I had the opportunity this morning to send "my people" down into Massachussetts for a couple of hours to get a feel for what's going on there. They met with the lovely folks at New Sound Productions there and have me set up to appear at Soulfest in New Hampshire this summer. I would love to see you there!

For now, though, I'll be in Maine for a few weeks. Check out my tour calendar at www.j2911.com so you can catch up with me along the way. By the way - I LOVE Maine! I'm pretty sure we can get some strong support for the "Max for President" campaign there.

Hope you're having a great day.

God bless you, and God bless America!

Throwing My Collar into the Ring

You may not know that I lost last year's bid for Mayor of Suitcaseville. It was a disappointing end to a hard-fought campaign. It would seem that the matter of oversized toilets was not a key issue to the citizens of Suitcaseville.

But from that experience I gained great public support from the Mannequin-American population beyond the boundaries of Suitcaseville.

So now, after much prayer and consideration, I have decided to throw my collar into the ring and enter the race for president!

In the days and weeks ahead, I will lay out my plans for improving the quality of life for every Mannequin-American. We will specifically address the need for larger mirrors, smaller toilets, and roomier suitcases for all Americans who must travel in them.

So, my fellow Mannequin-Americans, I will especially be asking for your support as we seek to make a better America for all!

Good night, and God Bless America!
